Ramona Peters LCSW
Hi, I'm Ramona (pronouns she/her). I'm a graduate of VCU's Master of Social Work program (2016) and have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2019. Areas of focus include anxiety, trauma, grief/loss, depression, chronic illness, phase of life adjustments, and stress management. Whether you’re going through a major life transition or are simply tired of the day-to-day struggle, I’m here to tell you there is light up ahead and you don’t have to make this journey on your own.
Together, we can navigate through your past experiences, identify how current stressors are impacting your life, and come up with a plan to get you back on the path that's right for you. I create a relaxed and supportive environment using a person-centered, strengths-based approach and a combination of therapeutic modalities including cognitive-behavioral (CBT), acceptance & commitment (ACT), and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I also incorporate aspects of dialectical behavioral therapy such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotion regulation.
I welcome the opportunity to talk with you more about how I can support you on this journey.
